It is important that you recognise this website for what it is - amateurs trying to help other amateurs for free.
However, I want to avoid two situations. The first is someone downloads this site, loads it on to a disk or prints it, then sells it. This already happens with some documents that are freely available, have a look on Ebay under "Ferrari Workshop". The disks for sale nearly always contain documents that are freely available on the web anyway. I bought one and was very disappointed that it contained only information I already had. I don't see why anyone else should profit from my and other volunteers efforts.
Secondly I want there to be only one current version of this set of documents, therefore I don't want people to copy the site and re-publish it elsewhere. The copy wouldn't benefit from revisions and additions as time went on. If you want to incorporate material into your own website please do it by linking to either http://www.daves-driving.com/Ferrari-Index.html or http://www.daves-driving.com/Ferrari-Technical.html. I will not move these pages but I can't guarentee not to change the URL of individual articles as time goes on and the website evolves.
However, anyone is allowed to use this material for their own personal use, for example printing it out to take it to compare with their car.
Any form of mass reproduction (say more than 5 copies) in any media form, reproduction on the web or selling of the material is strictly prohibited.
For other volunteers who contribute articles, I assume if you send me articles that you grant me a non-exclusive license to use the material on the website only, leaving you free to use it anywhere else you want to. I also assume you agree with the usage policy stated above. There may come a time in the distant future where I wish to turn it into a book, but I would not assume you have agreed to this without contacting you again.
